SINP 2026 Sector-Based Allocation: What Employers & Applicants Need to Know | 萨省提名计划2026行业配额解读

Saskatchewan's SINP program has undergone a significant structural shift since 2024. Regular Expression of Interest (EOI) draws have been paused since September 12, 2024, with no resumption date announced. In their place, SINP has moved to a sector-based allocation model for 2026.

Under this model, at least 50% of Saskatchewan's 4,761 nomination allocation for 2026 is reserved for priority sectors: healthcare, agriculture, skilled trades, mining, manufacturing, energy, and technology. Sector-based intake windows open six times per year — January 6, March 2, May 4, July 6, September 7, and November 2.

What This Means for Employers

If your business operates in one of the priority sectors above, this shift creates a more predictable, structured channel for nominating foreign workers to fill roles that local recruitment cannot fill in time. Understanding which intake window aligns with your hiring timeline — and preparing supporting documentation in advance — meaningfully improves your position in a competitive allocation environment.

What This Means for Applicants

With regular EOI draws paused, most successful SINP pathways in 2026 run through an employer job offer tied to a priority sector. Applicants without a job offer in one of these sectors currently have limited direct routes into SINP and should evaluate other federal or provincial options with an RCIC.

Chinese Summary
